Since discovering the urge to draw as a young child, I've grown to find that the creation of art is now necessary to my every day self-expression.
After discovering oil paints ( "Thanks Mom" ) , I've felt that I could dive deeper still within myself and share my innermost feelings with the world. Colors express these feelings, which are then conveyed by brushstrokes, as if directly from one's soul.
The countryside of Upstate New York, where I was raised, first flowed from my brushes, most of them "Mindscapes", those landscapes of my youth, which now exist only within the memories of carefree days gone by.
I'd push the start button on my paint brushes and just let 'em rip. The results were purely spontaneous, fantasy-filled visions of places I think we'd all like to enter into and become part of, even if only momentarily.

Classical Academic painting in the Italian Renaissance manner is the most recent challenge I've put upon my plate. Approximately 10 yrs ago I prayed to God to send someone to Teach me how to paint. I mean someone who truly knew how and was a Master at it!
The Lord answered my prayers shortly there-after when my step-daughter married the son of Modern Day Master Artist Frank Covino. Since meeting and being instructed by Frank for the past 10 plus years, my appreciation for what goes into a true masterpiece has been quite the eye-opening experience. I've learned so much more than any College could have attempted to teach. Frank is a wonderfully Gifted and selfless Artist, whose patience and intellect go well beyond that of many other Artists of today, many of whom are still unable to grasp the training methodology and "systems" which were utilized by The Masters of centuries ago. I am eternally thankful for the Blessings received since God allowed Frank Covino and his wonderful family to enter into my life.

I hope that my love of God, and all of the great things He has done in my life, and continues to do, will be more than evident to those of you who view these paintings. My invitation to you, is to search, find, and enjoy the beauty and spirituality that lingers not only within the visions I choose to share, but also deep within each one of us.
Thank you for your interest in my work ~ Enjoy the ride!
